My girlfriend and I are in a long-distance relationship, and we are going to travel by car to meet in the middle in Ohio. Last year we went to Cambridge, Ohio. They had "Dickens Village" set up on the street, which was very nice. They also had a Chrismas tree lighting. Is there anywhere else having special events that we could build our special time together around?

How far south does it snow? How early in the fall/winter season does the snow begin. I'd like to plan a trip to see snowfall. I'm from Florida. I'd like to know if it snows in Georgia or South Carolina, even North Carolina and if so where would I go to see the most snowfall? When would be the best time to go?

I live in New Jersey and my 21st birthday is right before spring break so I really want to go somewhere. I miss the mountains, lake, friendly people & fun local bars, restaurants & shops. I am looking for a pleasant climate year round (for the most part:) & an area with same atmosphere as Burlington & VT but with a larger population. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!
