The distance is over 3,000 miles and with steady driving taking regular rest periods, overnight lodging the trip should take about five and a half days.That would be for retirees in their 80's.Now if you wanted to see the beauty and some monotony of this great land and in no hurry toget to your destination figure 2 solid weeks.

according to google maps. 2,830 mi – about 1 day 17 hours. I googled from SFO to the white house.
