I want to take vacation this December where it snows alot.
I don't like ski resorts or high mountains and especially Alaska. I really want to find
quiet small town that definately snows in December.
Anybody know where this town might be?

Hi
I am going for a 2 month trip to Canada and North America next year and I am unsure of the requirements for travel visa's. The plan is to travel to Canada first - the flight is now booked - then travel through there for a few weeks before moving into North America (probably a flight from Toronto to New York). Now in the past when I have travelled to America I have been given a green card/visa thingy to fill in prior to landing which gives you upto 90 days travel in America. I also have my returned flight booked (from Vegas to Manchester) as I know they Americans require you to have a return flight booked. My question is, what to I need to do regarding this 90 day visa? Does anyone know whether I will get one of these on the flight from Canada like I would on a flight from the UK, or will I have to do something different. The American Embassy web-site is about as much use as a chocolate fireguard!
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

I'm going in late March, and was thinking of going to Destin. The beaches there look beautiful (it's known as the Emerald Coast).

If you have any other recommendations, please let me know, and why! Thanks.

I have never done it before. Should I just bring along a whistle? I am so excited about my mini vacation, but not sure how to get a taxi. I have never gone anywhere without my car.

I like to take vacations where you can drive up to places like "rock city," get on a tram and see the sights in tourist towns, like "Key West." Even drive thru the mountains, like in New Hampshire's White Mountains. What places like this do you like to go to?

We are travelling from Los Angeles, and need to decide if we should take the motorhome to the RV park, or do the hotel.
There are lots of choices re: which train service -- we are hoping to get the dome! Will early in December be good?
Thanks!

I am considering moving to Oregon, so I am taking a trip there from the 19th Nov till the 2nd of Dec. I am considering opening a specialized medical clinic. I am a 43 year old Brit. I will, of course, spend time in both Portland and Eugene. Please tell me :-

1. Any good networking ideas
2. Anywhere else you think I should go and why.
3. What you like about Oregon.
4. What you do not like about Oregon.
5. What fun things should I do while I am there.
6. Anything else you think i should know...

Thanks in advance.

I have been saving up for some time now with the intention of visiting the USA. I am planning to stay for several months and want to travel as widely as possible. Of course, I will attempt to see all the tourist attractions, but outside of the main cities and states, what would you recommend? I am looking for places that one would not expect to find in a guidebook, but are nevertheless interesting, tolerent of foreigners, and offer something unique, memorable and positive.
