I lived in Sarasota for 13 years. If I was going to move back to Florida, that's where I would go. You could also look at the Tamp/St. Pete area. I know a lot of IT-oriented companies that have branches in Tampa.

It depends what your defonition of good is. I live in Dunedin FL, which is in pinellas county, near wellknown Tampa.

Medium population density as far as Florida, heavy density as far as most other states go.

Nice area, but it's no Orange County, not far from Clearwater beach which is one of the most beautiful beaches on the golf. But don't live in Clearwater to be closer to the beach, alot of it is a slum.

Florida is nice, but I gotta warn you, the social structure is not like other states. You will find mansions, high class housing, middle class housing, low class housing, and trailorparks all in the same square mile. Most of Florida is this way.

For instance, I live in a middleclass blue collar neighborhood that's surrounded by trailorparks, but if you go past the trailorparks theirs celebrity style mansions.

There are plenty of job opportunities in the area what ever your career path may be.
