Why do you want to go to the US

How will you support yourself

Be prepared for a long long wait - and listen for your number, don't rely on the screens. Make sure you carry NOTHING remotely strange - you don't even get into the perimeter otherwise.Get there an hour at least an hour before your interview - blocks of people qeue outside from very early on. You have one quick interview where you show all your papers, have your photograph and fingerprints taken - then you wait and wait for the second where you are told whether you are ok or not. Your passport will be returned to you within a few days with the visa on it - and the whole process costs quite a bit too. Good luck - I was terrified!!

Yeah my sister went for an interview there to get a work visa for the US. I went with her and obviously couldn't go in - which I knew anyway, I waited in the queue with her for well over an hour. Like SAL*UK says, be prepared for a long wait, take only the papers you have been asked to take with you, you can't take mobile phones or even your handbag. They asked my sister why out of all the countries in the world, she wanted to work in the US so lucky she was prepared to answer the question. Basically, she said that the people who were handed back their passports on the day, hadn't been successful.

If you have an interview here, means you are resident, why the hell do you want to go to the US.
