I was hoping to find a travel buddy to go to NYC with either in late February or early-mid March. Unfortunately all my friends are either broke, can't take off work, or can't get out of school, so I'm assed out and on my own. i have a few questions regarding downtown LA.
is it advisable to purchase a condo in downtown LA. i plan to live there in less than 5-6 years. any pro's and con's or anything i should know about if i do live there?

and are LA buildings earthquake resistant? if you live in a highrise, are buildings suscetiple to major damage from BIG earthquakes?

I have used a particular travel website in the past, but my husband reformatted our PC and my bookmarks were lost and I cannot remember the name of it. It is a site for booking hotels specifically on beach areas (I was looking specifically for Myrtle Beach). I have this hotel that I love in Myrtle Beach, but I wanted to browse and see if there was something new that piqued my interest. It is something to the extent of beachgetaway.com or something and I was wondering if anyone knew the actually website. Thanks for the help
