Can I find such a place in the San Fernando Valley, maybe around the intersection of Sepulveda and Ventura Blvd? How about in the Venice area? I am not that concerned about crime. What would be the minimum lease term? I would like 6 months in case I decide that LA is not for me and need to split.

The primary form of transportation in Los Angeles in 20 years and are there any plans to close any streets to cars? Also what will happen to the suburbs, single-family neighborhoods, freeways, existing development, etc.? And what will LA and its metro area look like in 20 years?

I'm visiting LA in March and I want to find a good hotel between $100-$140. Any recommendations? Breakfast included, and free parking would be beneficial....

More importantly, should I find a place to stay in the hollywood area or the beverly hills area? Or perhaps San Fernando valley? I don't want to be far from tourist attractions, but I also don't want to be in a seedy area.

I mean walking almost entirely on the sand near the water. Are there campgrounds fairly close to the beach in all areas? I know you might need to walk on the Pacific Coast Highway in a few places, but could you stay on the beach 98% of the time?

How about the evening commute from Thousand Oaks to Encino? Just taking the 101 I'd assume, unless it's worth it to get off at some point (maybe on the evening commute back to Encino) and take surface streets. Thanks!

I was traveling westbound on SR 60 to southbound I-605. On the electronic bulletin boards, it is saying that I-215 is closed at I-15. This would make sense if I was travelling towards San Bernardino, but since I was traveling en route to Disneyland from the SGV, this does not make sense. So WTF?
