I was traveling westbound on SR 60 to southbound I-605. On the electronic bulletin boards, it is saying that I-215 is closed at I-15. This would make sense if I was travelling towards San Bernardino, but since I was traveling en route to Disneyland from the SGV, this does not make sense. So WTF?

From where I live, it is actually quicker to take the route I did. I have tried the other route and it requires a good haul on Katella off of SR 57. I-5 has a Disneyland Ave off ramp directly from the carpool lane, and takes only minutes from I-5

I am pretty sure the DMV has a quota to meet and had to hire Hispanics to work the freeway boards. Problem is they dont speak or write English so they messed up the boards. But you cant discriminate based on language now, that would be racist.

The freeway system is a total pooch screw here in CA, so I'm not surprised.. What make less sense is why you were planning on taking I-605 to D-land when the SR 60 to the 57 to Katella Ave seems like it would have been quicker, but...oh well.

They do that with the electronic signs everywhere. I guess they figure better we know than don't know.

For years, those signs sat idle, unless there was a problem. because people thought they were a waste of electricity. I guess someone decided, "we got 'em, might as well use 'em."

It is just because that is such a heavily traveled route especially on the weekend (Vegas traffic) so they are just getting the word out.

not everyone is going in your direction -some one *might* have been planning to take the 215 so it makes sense to warn them before
hand so they can reroute themselves
