I live in Rialto, bout a block from 'Fontucky', used to be mainly populated by white, but does have an ethnic mix now. It is a growing city, new housing and shopping centers to the north. NASCAR is the big draw twice a year now, but as far as fun, its bout an hr drive to LA, OC and Palm Springs, a 1/2 hr to the mountains and maybe 3 hrs, on a good day to Vegas. Rancho Cucamonga/Ontario has the big shopping areas in the area. And if you can stand the Santa Ana winds, the weather is usually pretty good.

I live not too far from Fontana but have actually only been there a few times. It seems fairly decent, I know it is pretty inexpensive to live there, as far as California prices go. I have heard that Rancho Cucamonga is a much nicer, and maybe safer area to live in and is still right next door to Fontana, and is also affordable and has great shopping areas, restaurants, malls, theaters, etc.

Fontana in San Bernardino County...well, I don't live there. But it's generally a working-class community. Also, the motorcycle club, Hells Angels originated in Fontana...

Interestingly (but a bit off topic), Fontana means "fountain" in Italian.

And Fontana is generally a mix of hispanic and white people.

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fontana%2C_California

The racial makeup of the city was 44.99% White, 11.83% African American, 1.12% Native American, 4.36% Asian, 0.33% Pacific Islander, 31.94% from other races, and 5.42% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 57.72% of the population.

I don't live here but once in a while we visit some of our family friends. I could say it's not fully developed yet. It's far from the fun places such as LA and Orange County. I felt the place is boring.
