You can bring anything you'd like into the hotel, but I am not sure about the park. They search your bags when going into each park. I bought those small bags of chips to snack on and bottled water in a mini booksack and they didn't tell me anything. We bought an ice chest with sandwich meat, breakfast food and drinks into the hotel, we ate breakfast so we wouldn't be hungry for a while and sometimes we came back freshened up and ate in the hotel room. A lot of times the meals in the park are large so you can share. Plus, you don't want to be stuffed if you plan on riding the rides and there is A LOT of walking to do. Hope you have fun.

You can bring anything you like. I suggest you do as I was there 2 weeks ago and food is very expensive. They have lockers at the entrance of both parks which you can store your food in if you dont want to walk around with it.
The California Adventure Park also has a tortilla and sour-dough bread bakery which gives away free samples. They are a must try!!!

Disney asks that its guests do not bring food in. But there's nothing wrong with tossing a pb&j sandwich and a bottled water in the bottom of your bag. Disney does check all bags and purses, but they are looking for weapons, not food. But to still be on the safe side, place your food items at the very bottom of your bag, under your wallet and sweatshirt. I do not recommend bringing coolers.

I recommend bringing your own bottled water. And leaving the park for meals, there is a McDonalds right across Harbor Blvd. that you can eat at much cheaper. And also a few denny's type family resteraunts that are relativly inexpensive. McDonalds is your best bet though if you leave on foot as you walk out the entrance and cross harbor and you are there.

i dont know about the mickey d's outside the park. its like double the price of any other mcdonalds. Along with the other restaurants. Believe me, i lived in Anaheim about 3 miles away from it. You are better off bringing some food with you.
