How about the evening commute from Thousand Oaks to Encino? Just taking the 101 I'd assume, unless it's worth it to get off at some point (maybe on the evening commute back to Encino) and take surface streets. Thanks!

On the 101 going to T.O. it will bottleneck at Calabasas in the morning and slow down near Agoura. It will take 45 to 55 minutes with normal Traffic. If you leave early before 6:45am it may take as little as 30 minutes. On the way back to Encino the freeway slows down sometimes to a crawl from Malibu to Topanga Canyon. It will take longer to get home. There is a scenic route to get to the valley using several canyon roads, You get off at Malibu and end up on Muholland. i don't remember all the canyon roads to do this route, but there is a way.

Don't bother with the surface streets. Freeway is almost always faster, even if it jambed, unless there is a really bad accident.

In LA Traffic, FOREVER! Move out of the Valley and into the Westside!
