Universal Studios can be had for much less money than any other area "theme park" I don't know anyone who goes there more than once (the last time I won my tickets and wish I had just sold them)

The entertainment book has coupons for $8 off, up to 6 people. Ebay always has several listings of coupons and tickets as well, such as buy a day, get a year free. Sometimes they run that same promo on soda cans in the Southern California.
