My exam is next week, I just arrived in this country today : ) Need help learning the metro fast! I have to be there by 8 am on a tuesday morning, and I really prefer not to stay in a hotel. Thank you!

I'm visiting LA for the first time for my birthday trip. My Dad, being the cheap person he is (always looking for a deal), booked a hotel in Inglewood, CA. Is this a bad neighborhood like Compton? I have never been to LA so I do not know the areas to "stay away from".

I really want to go to Hollywood for my senior trip. Instead of the normal group of teens going off and getting wasted every night, my mom said she would take me wherever. My husband and I have a 6 month old son and don't want to raise him in Los Angeles, where we now live. My family is all here, however, so I don't want to move too far away. We just want to find someplace (preferably within a 6 hour drive) that is family friendly with some culture and good schools (my husband is an elementary school teacher). San Fransisco is too crowded and expensive. Any other ideas???

I am almost 12 years old and I am looking for a good location to take my Bat Mitzva in Los Angeles, California! I don't want to take it in a very expensive place nore a very cheap place. I want it to be big enough for at least 100 or 120 people. Do you have any ideas? Like I am not religious so please don't say to get it in a synygog. I just want to rent somewhere.
