I want to go to something (non-touristy) in Los Angeles tomorrow.
I'm from LA, so I can get around okay. I'm just looking for some new ideas of places to visit, preferably an interesting place to meet new people (no clubs please). Any cool events going on?

Yeah... erotica is not what I have in mind.
And I'm looking for something a little more out of the ordinary than just the beach...

The only real event going on this weekend is "Erotica 07", but I doubt you want to meet those people. With the weather the way it is, I would head to Huntington or Venice beach. There is always "something" going on there and plenty of people to meet.

The La Film festival is going on right now, though the 30th. There are always the museums like the MOCA and the Getty(which are slightly touristy, but ultimately worth it). And you can also always just drive somewhere without a plan. You are bound to find something; that is what makes LA so cool. I did that one day and ended up at a really neat vintage store that was having a crazy sale.
