I always see these spots available and I have parked in them a couple of times, but I go towed the other night for parking somewhere else. So now I am a little weary as to wear to park in Hollywood.

I know you can do it in San Diego, but LA does not care about San Diego.

I am from the east coast, and moved to California last fall. I really enjoy the weather, but based on so many negative factors such as traffic, high costs, pollution, I am wondering if its not worth the hassle. Also, CA residents only make 10% more then people in other states, so its not really relative to what you are paying to live here. I do live in Hollywood, but will be moving in Burbank in a few months. Someday I would like to buy a house, but I dont see it happening here. Thanks

I'm looking for an affordable, safe, decent neighborhood in Southern California. I know those are definitely hard to come by, but I think there may be a really nice opening in Whittier. I will be working in Commerce, so I want to be close to work but far away enough so that I don't feel like I'm in the backyard of my job. Anyway, is Whittier generally a nice, safe area? I was also looking at places in Alhambra, Monterey Park, Rosemead, Echo Park, Highland Park, and South Pasadena, but there seems to be a really good deal in Whittier. Any ideas? Are all these places ok? What about Downey, Santa Fe Springs, or Lakewood? I'm just trying to see if there are certain neighborhoods I should actively avoid.

Im goin 2 school @ Glendale community college California. soon.Im movin w/ a trailor n lookin 4 a nice area 2 live either on a very safe senic trailor park or most likely I'll rent a room.Im a massage therapist and won't get a job untill i move 2 Cali. but I need to be close to this school or @ least another community college close to LA. I want to go to college for general studies, presue acting while practicing massge. I love the outdoors, (hikin, mts, parks, ocean) Is there any areas that are chill around LA that provides good music and fun, art, nice people, spas (4 work), good food and thats affordable? I'll have a car, about 5,000 bucks, and no job. I could afford the most 600$+utilities a month even if its just a room.I'd travel 40mins w/ traffic the most to a community college near LA. I know one girl that lives near La whos a friend of a friend shes 37 i'm 22 not only is she a little older, which can hinder our simularities but shes only one person. I'm desperate 4 advice thanku

I live in the San Fernando Valley right now. I'd like to find some trails that I can go off-roading on with my Jeep. I haven't put on over-sized tires yet, and its not lifted, so nothing too challenging, but some mild trails would be perfect. Also, what beaches around here will let you drive on them?
