The Garden Cafe just in the same square as Petersen's Inn is good with reasonalble prices

Solvang is a great place! Bit O' Denmark and Solvang Restaurant is quite nice. Also check out all the shops and chocolate stores! Have fun, it's quite interesting.

There are several good places for smorgesborg buffets or just good food period. I'd pull into one of the hotels on the way in and grab one of the free tourist magazines that list places to eat, sometimes with a coupon.
