This is for arranging a rent a car while travelling from DL to SanDiego to Mayfair hotel, LA. The car company asks to select the nearest drop of spot. Is Culver city, LAX airport or Long Beach near to this place?

Sounds like it is near the 7th St Metro Station (underground trains) downtown L.A.
The address indicates it is 12 1/2 blocks west of Central Ave.
Culver City and Long Beach are about the same distance (depending on the area of Long Beach; a large city). Long Beach easier to reach traffic wise. Culver City is far west of downtown and south of Santa Monica. From downtown LA to there is very congested, very. Most of Long Beach is almost due south, with traffic, but not as bad.
Don't go to 7th St after dark unless you must. A bustling business district during the day with lots of police and private security, but at night? Not as safe.
Put the address in Yahoo maps.

Of the three choices you mentioned, Culver City would be the closest to the Mayfair hotel. The distance is about 9 miles.

Your address is in downtown L.A. Ask if they have an office in the downtown area - near the 10/110 interchange. If not, Culver city will be the nearest office - about a 20 minute drive at non-commute time.
