What's it like? Safe? Near lake?

My family goes to Big Bear almost every summer and Eagle point is the prettiest part. Although all of the town is beyond gorgeous; Eagle point is the best part. Basically the whole "Pennisula" is surrounded by water so the lake is pretty much near by and short walk to get to it; unless the house is actually on the edge of the lake. And the neighborhood is very quite and peaceful. With shops and a park nearby and also resturants. And just a quick drive to the village!! Its awesome. I absolutely LOVE Big Bear!!

Eagle Point is safe and a very nice part of Big Bear. Considering that just about everything is only a 5-10 minute drive from the lake, it's at the upper end of that. It's much closer to the mountain slopes than the boat dock. If you want to walk to the lake it can be done, but I would be driving since you have to hike up the road to get back.
