My husband (a pilot) will be flying out of JFK airport in NY but there is no way that we can afford/nor want to live in NY. He can ride on any airline to get to JFK but we of course want the shortest possible commute there is so we are looking at possibly moving near DC so that we are still in driving distance to JFK if there was bad weather/or couldn't get on a flight. Is there any homes that are nice and under $250K in between the two airports? I know this may be totally unrealistic but we are used to having a 1700 sq.ft. brand new home for $150K where we are from and I know that we will not find this in the NE but something either newer or something that has been updated would be nice.

On my travels to SC I will have a 7 hour layover in Washington, DC - IAD airport.
I have never been there before. Can anyone tell me about good ways to kill some time while waiting on my connecting flight?
Remember, I only have 7 hours....actually less than that since I have to give myself some time to go back through security and get to my gate.

All help is appreciated!

I had the pleasure of kayaking through a bioluminescent lagoon near Fajardo, Puerto Rico. Since then I've heard rumors of "bio-bays" in Maine or elsewhere in New England. Does anyone know where one might be found? I'd settle for anything within about a six hour drive of Boston.

My family went to Disney World and it was awesome! but we couldn't even make it to all the parks in 5 days time - our little girl loved Fantasyland. Is it any cheaper to visit Disney Land. i know the flights prices are the same. I have not been to disney land since the new park opened there - how long of a trip does it take?
How many days are needed for Disney Land?
What should be done differently for Disney Land than Disney World?

According to statistics, almost 30% of California residents speak Spanish as their first language and hundreds of Mexicans are coming to California by the minute.

Considering this fact, will California become a Spanish-speaking state by the end of this century?
Do you think California will become a Mexican-dominating state and end up being a part of Mexico?
