I want to travel and live in New York. I have never been and I am from Australia. What should I expext? Is it scary, is it fun? is it a hard and expensive place to live? Please help me with any info!

The hubby & I are planning a trip & were wondering what do we HAVE to see in Vegas and what do we HAVE to pass on, no matter how tempting. This will be a first trip to Vegas for both of us. We have four nights and have tickets for some things already, so we're squeezing in the rest, looking mainly for daytime excursions. Any advice about traveling to Vegas is appreciated!

Sometimes there's really awesome hole in the wall joints if someone points you in the right direction. Instead of eating at a gasstation or a MCD's....I was wondering if there was a little restaurant on the way that is recommended.....
