Your best option is probably Concord Trailways buslines for $15 one way. Here's the link to their schedule.

Here's the fares.

2nd best is probably the train (Amtrak) which'll get you from Manchester to Boston in about an hour (station to station), except Amtrak uses connecting bus service too! Here's their link.

Vermont transit Lines also operates in that corridor. Here's their schedule info.

There is also a FREE shuttle (Manchester Bus) from Charleston if you are departing/arriving on a flight into Manchester. However, you didn’t mention anything about flying into/out of Manchester, so you’re probably out of luck on this one. However, if you depart/arrive on a flight into Manchester airport, you can take the Manchester shuttle from Woburn/Charleston/Sullivan Square after catching the MBTA (subway/bus) to there. It's every two hours (not hourly as some people say). Then again, you could always call to see if they’d take your Logan ticket as a transfer.

Here’s the link for more info including timetable, contact info, connecting info, and conditions for the free shuttle.

So, net/net, bus it is!

Hope that helps!

Manchester To Boston Bus

It's quite simple. Just take the shuttle* from Logan to the subway line (hopefully it's not too crowded on the shuttle). Tell people you're going to South Station. When you exit the subway system at South Station the charter-Bus station is very close.

You're taking a greyhound/PeterPan kind of bus directly to Manchester!

When you buy your ticket it should only be an hour or so for you waiting for the next departing Manchester-bound bus.
I took a bus from "South Station" Boston directly to Manchester N.H. myself to see a cousin in Manchester once.

*The subway system is not directly connected to Logan airport, so they have a 5-minute free shuttleride that everyone uses.

Adding:
Hm. Well. If there's a flight or free-"shuttle" to Manchester, it sounds even easier, but it is nothing I am familiar with.
In both those instances, it sounds like it's your Airline who gets you to Manchester ultimately. And if your Airline is "getting you to Manchester", I would certainly let them.

Adding also:
Yes, what was the greyhound/peterpan type buses would be the concordtrailways station. (I just think of them all as "greyhounds" really.)

Boston To Manchester

Follow Rich Z's advice. The bus to Manchester airport leaves Woburn-Anderson hourly.

As for flights directly to Manchester I believe it is served by Air Canada.

There is a free shuttle from Boston to Manchester.

Take the Logan Express bus from Logan to the Massport parking area ("Anderson Regional Transportation Center") in Woburn (only stop on that Logan-Woburn bus). You can get the Manchester Bus from there to the Manchester airport and take local bus into that city.

I'm pretty sure they consider Manchester part of Logan now and have plenty of transportation available. It would be cheaper to do something through the airport...those cabbies will charge alot. I know the name of the bus that runs there is called "Concord Trailways" www.concordtrailways.com

You can take a cab or hire a car, take the bus or see if Flightline will take you.

Couldn't you just fly into Manchester's airport?

It would be easier to just fly in to Manchester airport. They have many flights in and out of there.
