You have to bring your own bug spray. Seriously, don't even consider these hotels - you're only 17 - you have no business being anywhere near these dumps.

Yes. Make sure that you have ID that says that you and any guests are 18 or older. The two that I know of offhand are La Semana Hotel on West 24th St [http://www.lasemanahotelnyc.com], which is, I believe, around $70 for a few hours, but you'd have to call them for an exact figure. It's clean, not horribly run down, but not necessarily the safest. There's also the Liberty Inn on 14th St and 10th Ave [http://www.libertyinnnyc]. It's $52+ for 2 hours and $59+ for 3 hours. It's clean, safe and has a real sense of humor about itself.

There are also hotels that charge just for a block of time. For example, you can get a room for like 4 hours for a set price.

??? upper east harlem has some hookers that'll charge you hourly. JK. no all hotels charge daily. not hourly
