I Live in London,UK and have always dreamed of moving to somewhere such as Miami or California. Is this possible to move from England to the U.S.A and not just for like a year, I mean living there?

Can you keep a little secret? There are probably more "Brits" living in the United States than there are in London.

One of my best friends at work (I'm not retired) was from Manchester. I would tease him for calling everything "bloody", and he would tease me for watching "EastEnders".

If you do make the move you will be welcomed , and will make many friends quickly. You will find it much more expensive to live in California than in Florida. If it is within your budget, why not come over for "holiday" and see what it's like. That way you could see what things cost, what the REAL job prospects were, etc. before you actually did make a permanent move.

Come on over, but there's so many other places to live other than Cali or Fla. I would really research where you want to relocate. For instance, if you're so in love with a coastal state, try southern Alabama (Daphne, Fairhope, Orange Beach)....these are great places and not as expensive.

Also, America is known for hospitable small towns. Tons of those.

Good luck and WELCOME!!!

Yes there is but it is tough. You need to have money and a job here. Once you find a job here then it seems to move easier. My friend is trying to come back from the bahamams but she needs someone who will sponsor her first (a job).

You can do it though :) good luck in your search!
