Will be in texas for 8 days and have two days that we don't have any plans for? What would be a good town to check out within a 100 miles or so of Houston? We are up for anything: old (ghost towns, museums), fun, whatever....? Thanks all!

We are looking for a place to go for a family vacation, consisting of 4 families, ages 2 thru 60. I would like to go someplace where we can be in the middle of town, where we can walk out the door and find something to do. We are not that interested in beaches or mountains, and we all live in the South. Is Tallahassee a good choice? If not, what is?

My hubby and I are celebrating our 5 yr anniversary. We dont have a ton of money to spend but would love to getaway for 4 days alone- no kids. Chicago, NYC or Pittsburgh? We would wanna see sights and do touristy stuff. NYC is our first choice (never been!) but its the only one that would require airfare. (More $$$) We could drive to the other two.

We will be there for the first week in April. We were hoping for a picturesque spot not a KOA type campground. Thanks

I am currently debating to either choose to go to Disney World twice in one year - we have many points to spend on a trip down twice, but that means we can't go down again next year. Because of the jacket-weather, we find that going to a water park or chilling (pun intended) by the pool would be not only be a freezing affair, but not smart. We need some ideas for activities down in the Disney area in Florida (besides going to parks, that's a given) that will keep us occupied. We are thinking about an eight-night trip, and covering each park at least once. Also, if you can tell me, have your past experiences going to Disney World in the winter holidays been nice? Thanks!
