We are looking for a place to go for a family vacation, consisting of 4 families, ages 2 thru 60. I would like to go someplace where we can be in the middle of town, where we can walk out the door and find something to do. We are not that interested in beaches or mountains, and we all live in the South. Is Tallahassee a good choice? If not, what is?

One family lives in Savannah, and we went to Charleston last year. We wouldn't mind doing Charleston again, except finding something in the middle of town that is big enough for all of us, allows children, and is affordable is nearly impossible.

I would say Savannah. GA or Charleston, SC might be better ideas.

Ive been to Daytona Florida and it was the greatest place i have ever been. the whole state id nice and eye grabing. the houses are made from spanish archetexture and in any hotel you got a nice ocean eye view that was fenomenal. i can still close my eyes and see, hear, and even smell the air in the view from from balcony. alot of times i would go out to my balcony and just watch the scenery.
