Just asking because I just got accepted into Angelo State University and was wondering what the town was like.

I rented a car and went to NY. Parked apparenlty 3 inches closer to a fire hydrant than I was suppose to (sarcasm) and was given a $115 parking ticket. I had to idea that you had to be 8 feet away and the person in front wasn't anywhere near 8 feet away as well. I was approximately 5-6 feet away. Is there anyway to get around this? shouldn't something be posted so people who visit know these rules? I love New York and usually just walk everywhere when I visit ... since the car wasn't even mine will they go through the motions to track me down?

I have absolutely no idea why I am asking this, considering I have never been, nor will I probably ever get to visit, NYC, but I have never lived in a town with more than 3 different ZIP codes. (I know, it's sad, but it was a total of 50k people during the academic year, 25k during the summer.)

Just out of curiousity. (I will make sure to add it to my pile of information that I will never EVER need)

Thanks

i'm trying to move to alaska and i need to find a job before i get there. i'm not so interested in living in anchorage (i lived there for a few months while i worked for the cruise lines), but i wouldn't mind living in fairbanks, juneau, or even one of the smaller places. i love the wilderness, but would like a job that supports myself. i graduated from a university with a BS in physics, but is that even relevant for Alaska?

And teaching in alaska, how easy/ hard is that process? I dont have certification, but wouldn't mind teaching physics or math.

Any help would be fantastic. I'd like to hear from folks who live in AK.

We'll be visiting from Scotland for 3 nights (2 oldies!) and need somewhere comfortable to stay with easy access to roads to Grand Canyon and other sights. Some hints on 'essential visits' and good restaurants would be nice if you have time. Many thanks.

I need to find a good English or Irish pub to bring two Englishmen to. Some place authentic (not touristy) with a wide selection of beer and a soccer game in the background would be a big plus.

I am looking to move and the only criterion for the move are that the air is fairly clean (not high in allergians), the schools are very good and the neighborhoods are low in crime. does anyone know of any places like this?

2007-03-20 09:04:48 · 8 answers · asked by Que 3 in Other - United States

I see people sitting next to others when there's an available seat, but when I sit next to someone, people get mad & hurry up & move, like I have a disease. One lady pushed me & wanted to fight me last week for sitting next to her. I have to experience this EVERY day! & I'm sick & tired of it. People treat me like I have no right to sit down.

I mean, I'm clean & well-groomed & bathe, wash & comb my hair, & brush my hair daily. What's the problem? They don't even treat a homeless, dirty person like that. People be smelling all pissy & sh!t. I just don't understand. People are SO f*cking backwards!

Excuse my cursing, but I'm VERY angry.
