i'll be going to las vegas with my friend. we are both aged 19. of course, we would like to be staying in a hotel on the strip unless it is totally out of the question? are there any suggestions as to which hotels in vegas allow people under the age of 21 but above 18 to check in without an accompanying adult? would parental/guardian consent be a feasible solution to my problem?

I live in the north, and everyone I know is sick of the cold weather, and wants to move to Tennessee. Could a northerner really fit in there? What are southeners take on Northeners? As far as schools, jobs, communitys, cultures, what is the difference between the two states? How hot does it really get there? It is about 20 degrees where I live between December and March-brrrrrr.
I know nothing, please any answers would be great.

Why do Indians and Pakistai peeps talk all weird when they talk english?

Like for example:

"my name musharraf. i like crouch tiger no? you no? you press button. button here. no? you see! press button. NOW. press button no? you no the button?"

another example:
"I hungry. my tummy is like hungry lion. it growl. you here growl no? you here growl you do. i hungry. i eat food. . . . soon. i eat food. i am hungry. i go eat pizza now. "

like WTF? I find it annoying hearing that every time I go into a Dollar General or when I get a taxi.

So I visited Memphis a few times and it seems really ghetto for the most part. I visited some of the suburbs and those were very plastic, whitebread places with a lot of vacuous pretty people. The rest of the city, however, seemed pretty gank...so many ghetto people walking around, driving badly with stolen cars and talking as loud as possible in ghetto fashion. It seems like Memphis is either full of suburban types who waste their lives being pretty, having two spoiled kids and not doing anything important (unless enrolling their kids in church sports teams and pretending to be Christian is important) or really ghetto people who have like 10 kids, eat fried chicken and live off of welfare.

Has anyone gone on a Disney cruise? If so, what ports of call did you visit? Did you travel with children? How was the cruise in general, and how were the excursions? Did you take part in the excursions, or wing it along on the islands? I have the dvd from Disney and a guidebook (passporter.com) but. I'm looking for more info from regular people. Thanks!

We are in southern NJ and would travel up to 2 hrs. This is just a day trip, to go somewhere we haven't been to before. Cost isn't a huge issue. It's just a fun end of summer day out for the kids, ages nb, 7 & 12. any ideas?
