Restaurants - there are really too many good ones to list, so just make sure you visit an Austin original instead of a national chain. Some good local places are Artz Ribs, Z Tejas, Shady Grove, The Salt Lick, Hyde Park Bar & Grill, and any little hole in the wall mexican food placein South Austin.
Clubs - I would recomend the 4th and 5th street areas. Of course, everyone knows about 6th street, especiallly all of the 18-20 year olds. If you are looking for a more mature club scene, then definitely try out the 4th and 5th street venues.
Bars - A lot of good ones to choose from, but you can't really go wrong with The Horseshoe Lounge, Draught Haus, or GNS.
Shops - You need to hit South Austin. Specifically, just drive up and down Lamar and you will find all types of eclectic shops.
