I'm feeling kinda blue kinda thinking about how it was around here 1 year ago today. Just remembering all the anxieties and strife.

It's not over yet.

I'm taking my best friend to San Fran for his birthday and he loves karaoke. We are staying near Fisherman's Wharf. Can anyone give me some fun ideas? We are both in our early 20s and not rich! Thanks.

I'll be coming from south (I-65 N) to Schaumburg this Sunday just before Labor day and need advise on what would be the best route once near Chicago.

Option 1: Continue on I-65 N until it merges into I-90 and then continue on I-90 W (the Northwest tollway), pass O'Hare and then take my exit for Schaumburg.

Option 2: Avoid I-90 as passing through downtown, it could be having heavy traffic. Instead to turn into I-80/94 W just short of point where I-65 mergrs into I-90. Then get into I-294 N, and finally into I-355/290 N and take my Schaumburg exit from there. The directions also show me that if I take this route, there is a possibility of delay due to a construction from US-12 to Indiana State line (doesn't tells me what direction of the highway the construction is on).

Distance-wise both options are same. If someone who frequently uses these routes around Chicago could give practical advise on what route would be best to take from time/traffic perspective considering the day.

I have not had a vacation in a really long time. I work very hard, and currently I am becoming extremelly stressed out with my surroundings. I have a weeks worth of paid vacation, and in October I will have plenty of free time. The problem... I can't really afford to go anywhere like Hawaii, or on a Carribean Cruise (which I would love to do). I live in Northern California... any ideas of places that I can travel nearby that are fairly reasonable about pricing and will be relaxing?

$135 for four people to get in.
Then you have to pass security and the rent-a-cops were absolutely RUDE. For $135, I don't need anyone yelling and bossing me around (let alone my family). But I understand how serious their job is - after all every jihadist on the planet wants to bomb the gantry that they used in 1969.
Once inside, you'll be hard pressed to find anything worth $135.
Unless there is a launch going on, all you'll see is dead gantries and standard museum crap.
Am I missing something?

To me it is incredible the way you american treat people... I would really use stronger words to describe your %&#"&/? actitud but I am not like you. My grandmother, a 85 year old woman (from Spain) was going to be ARRESTED like a criminal when checking in at the airport just because she passed 5 days on her previous trip on and it was because of YOUR FAULT due to pilot strike a couple of years ago. How dare you people to arrest like a criminal a 85 year old woman and deport her???? It is a huge disrespect not just to a woman, to a old person... you people have no values to be racist. How come a police man tell her that she is a latin person breaking amercian law...
Who do you think you are??? God???
What are you so afraid of??? Are you so afraid to arrest a 85 year old woman in wheelchair???

You people are the worst!!!

Has anyone ever heard of Tahita Village? I believe it is a timeshare, they are offering a 4dy/3 nt stay in vegas at a 4 star hotel on the strip, with a $200 slot play, $100 gas card, renewal of wedding vows. They say all they want is $99, and once we get to the hotel then they are gonna refund the $99. Is this legit? Has anyone ever done this before... please let me know.. it sounds like such an awesome deal, but I don't wanna get screwed.
