how long do I need to check in for a trans atlantic flight on american airlines in september?

I have flown a few times recently and now international flights are three hours prior to departure and on the plane 30 minutes prior

Give yourself 2 hours....flight at 7:30? Be there at 5:30

Its normally 2 hours but with the increased security measures in place at the moment i would allow 3 hours to be on the safe side!
