We are going on our first cruise (to Mexico). What products work best to avoid sea sickness?

So here's the deal, just recently my parents want to move to QLD, but I personally dislike the idea, due to the fact i've lived in Melb/Vic most of my life, I'm 18 years old. Before I go, I'm just curious as to what it is like up there, in terms of society. I was told the Gold Coast.. or whatever, was not a good place to live..? I've also completed my pre-apprentice electrical course, so if any electrical apprentices out there reading, i would like to know from you, or anyone who lived in both states, or anyone in particular who knows. i'm actually living in Boston, and i'll go to Vegas for thanksgiving. I'm actually 20, but i look older. can i go to night clubs???? i've heard that in some states they give a bracelet to underage people so that they enter but they can't approach the bar ( i don't drink anyway). is it the same in Vegas?

I`m making plans to visit, as a diversion off route 66. For example do they do tourist trips round the Brickyard?, forget museums etc. Cheap decent hotels, bars etc.

My brother and his family emmigrated last year,my parents are moving abroad next year, there will be myself and my son remaining in the u.k as immediate family, does it mean if i have other relatives here i.e granparents aunt and uncle, that i won't be able to apply

Please advise couple of hotels or atleast the area, in Penang and Langkawi.
My requirements are as under:
a. Double-room to be in range of USD 50 to 75 per night.
b. Area of hotel to be either within or very near to night-life areas, like bars, discos etc.
