In two weeks, we are cruising to Mexico-Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta. Trying to find cheap but fun activities in port- like beach, snorkeling or horse-back-riding. But the ship charges way too much for our family of 6 to enjoy these activities in their excursion book. Any suggestions?

I am planning a 7 night/8 day cruise with Royal Caribbean for next year in May.
It's for me and my boyfriend's 4 year anniversary.
This is a first cruise for the both of us.
It goes to Labadee, Haiti; Ocho Rios, Jamaica; George Town, Grand Cayman; and Cozumel, Mexico.
An interior room is $599, an oceanview is $779.
Is this worth it?
Remember, it's 7 nights and with Royal Caribbean.
Also, I was told that it's better to get a room with a window so you don't feel claustrophobic, but I was also told that all you are in your room for is to sleep and shower.

Any suggestions??

If you have been to these places or on this ship, it is called Mariner of the Seas, please inform me of the pros and cons.

Thanks so much!!

Next month I need to get across London to meet my brother who will be driving along the M25 west and north sector between J12 (M3) and J27 (M11).

Is there an underground station or overline station with frequent service within a few miles of an M25 junction in this sector?

We currently live in Washington state but are seriously considering moving to Austin. Our main reason for moving is to get away from the cold and rain. I love heat and humiditiy (have lived in Florida) so that is not an issue. We have researched schools, houses, etc and visited Austin so if we move, that is where we will go. My husband can keep his job and work from home. Everyone up here seems to think we are crazy for moving to Texas though! I love the outdoors (hiking, etc) but hate the cold so much that I can only be outside about 4 months a year up here. Has anyone made a similar move? Any advice our opinions? I dont' want to regret this! Thanks.

They are not European in mentality, and some look and can pass as European, but they think so differently to Europeans about women, and life in general. They are so sensitive that I dare not ask them questions. So I throw it out to YOU....please be gentle.

We've done Budapest, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Bruges, Valencia and Kracow (our favourite) in the past few years. Our requirements are that the city has some history and culture, nice architecture, good food, reasonable prices, and is compact enough to get to most of the sites on foot. Any recommendations? I'm thinking of Split by the way - any comments on this?

Could I buy a car from say Miami, and get it insured?

How would I go about getting it insured if I am not an American national?

And if the above is not feasable, does anyone know how much a rental car would cost for around 5 weeks?

And does this have pitfalls too - I have heard the majority of car rental companies will charge you a fortune for nothing once you return the car? Is this true?

Thanks for your help.

I am travelling to anaheim for the UFC fights but there are no direct flights to John Wayne, so I thought if LAX was close enogh to Anahiem I would just fly into there and take a car to Anaheim. Is this a good idea?

I'm looking for a cruise that has hassle-free booking and a clean, sophisticated ship. I've never been on one, do they really tell you specific times to eat/swim etc.? I want to send my parents on a cruise in the Caribbean and am willing to pay around $600 a piece - I would like to hear your experiences!

I will be doing my student teaching in Australia next fall, not sure where yet though. I only have to teach for about 10 weeks but I plan to be there for 15 so I can see everything. So what advice can you give a yank who is coming to Australia? I will be there from the end of August till the beginning of December if that makes a difference.

I have been on a number of cruises from a variety of ports during all times of the year. I have been on over 10 cruises and on 6 different cruiseline companies. I love cruising.

But as a person of color, I wonder why there are so few ethnic minorities on cruise-ships. I feel out of place and isolated sometimes. America is supose to be a United Nations of people, full of people from all over the world. But I do not see much of that when I cruise. Nearly everyone is white.

I do not believe it is economic because we go on cheap cruises on older boats at greatly reduced cost. We go out of Florida which is dominated by ethnic minorities.
