My family and I are travelling to Thailand on the 15th of October. We want to make the most of our trip there. However, we are only going there for 7 days. My parents believe that we can travel the country properly if we have a tourist guide with us or if we are part of a package tour. Then we can actually visit places without having our money wasted. At the same time, we also want to do shopping. If anyone could suggest some package tours or tourist guides which are affordable, it would be great.

I have been told that pedestrians have the right of way in Japan and that this law stems from the American post WW2 occupation. It was not uncommon for zelous Japanese to run over American service men and a law was enacted to protect all pedestrians. Is this true or just an urban legend?

Who likes mosquitos?
So you don't like those pesky mosquitoes.
Here's a tip that was given at a recent gardening forum.
Put some water in a white dinner plate (I suppose a small white platito will do) and add a couple drops of Lemon Fresh Joy Dish Washing Liquid. Set the dish on your porch, patio, picnic table, park bench, or other outdoor area.
Not sure what attracts them, the lemon smell, the white plate color, or what, BUT ... mosquitoes flock to it, and drop dead shortly after drinking the Lemon Fresh Joy & water mixture,.
TRY IT --- it works just super! It may seem trivial, but it may also help to control mosquitoes around your home, (especially in areas where the dengue and malaria carrying mosquitoes are reaching epidemic proportions) .
Pass this on to anyone who likes sitting out in the evening, or when they're having a cook out.
It's safer than mosquito coils - no offensive odor and harmful fumes, no risk of fire.

Need milage and Can't find it through Yahoo or Google. Figured I'd give it a shot here.
I hitched it back in 1982, but the memory fails me right now.

Thanks for your help.

I am going on a Royal Caribbean cruise in May 2008. This is my 7th cruise so I am not new to the experience. There are a few different rainforest tours offered through the website and I am wondering if anyone has been on this shore excursion. Some are cheap, some are long, some are short, some let you swim etc....

I am an environmental scientist so I love being outdoors and there is very little activity that will be too streneous for me.

Any info or experiences would help. Thanks

I want to live in an area that would provide a taste of the wild and still be convenient for hospitals and some amenities.

I hate hot weather, I hate cold weather. I hate changes especially in Wisconsin where today was 70 and tomorrow is supposed to be 80 degrees. I hate the wind chill during winter. Where can I live where there is only one season and it's 65 degrees all year round. I hate the changes in the weather. I hate to fry and I hate to freeze.
