When are you flying to Germany?
First you should take a camera and make sure you have enough memory on it so you can take many pictures.

SO as a suggestion bring home:
- Many pictures (if you can get them with locals in traditional cloth)
- Nutcracker
- Cuckoo clocks.
- Überaschungseier (that is an egg shaped chocolate with a surprise for kids)
- Cook book (they have some in English and they are great)
- Lederhose(leather pants, not the black stuff the old traditional ones)
- Dirndl (traditional female dress)
- .....

Nothing..... everything is less expensive here. But if you must, buy your souveniers early in the trip and mail them home. They are the same and cost the same all over Germany. Easy to carry purchases are pins from each region and town to go on a cool Bavarian hat. Or small metal curved badges to go on a hiking pole or ice pick (must be checked at airport)

How about a stuffed red fox holding a musical instrument or a beer mug. Just a sick joke,I see them here in Hungary on sale for the German tourists, they make me ill looking at those little animals forever doing something stupid and being on display.

Hi,

It really depends what you like and where you go in Germany.

In general, decorative items should work well. Some of these are like nutcrackers and cuckoo clocks.

For kids, Germans has lots of chocolates and their famous Steiff teddy bears...

Cheers!
Bernard
