Does anything happen in Banff or Jasper for New Years....Where would you recommend staying?

I'm thinking Banff. Given New years you want to be a bit festive, and you sort of want some people around. They market more to the winter crowd with skiing. They are also 50% larger and Jasper to Edmonton is 3x the distance Calgary to Banff is. Anyway, it all adds up to they are better able to market some NYE packages and better able to put on a party. NYE in the Hotsprings sounds good to me for one.

Banff is a huge party city (And the STD Capitol of the World per capp. haha)
