Travel - 9 September 2007

I am moving to NYC and will be renting (80% of Manhattanites rent so I wont feel like a loser)
I am trying to figure out how much $$$$ I need to rent a nice place and have enough cash for at least 2 years.
I am starting my own website for health and beauty and will be paying the bills with a lucrative part time corporate design job that pays 140k starting 2/08 in NYC.
I want to move to NYC by January.
I have 160k saved up. I plan to use some it towards rent/daily expenses.
Do I have enough saved up to cover 2 years in NYC ?
I plan to spend around 3-3,600 a month on rent.

I was wondering if anyone knows what buses i can get from the city centre to myrtle street. Im due to start a course in the arts centre there and the nearest i think i can get to it by bus is london road where i then have to walk through russel , clarence , leece and hardman street which takes me like half an hour. Anyone know any other quicker ways because it takes me like 35 minutes just to get to london road. Quick replies please , much appreciated x

we are a family with pets wanting to move, but we would like some inside info - what would you suggest. we would like to be close to a busy city which is also family and career/job orientated.

What would you suggest? Maybe NYC, LAX, SFO, MIA, San Diego??

Clipper Adventurer was idling, stopped or nearly so, close to Bass Rock, no doubt letting passengers view. Our yacht came round the Rock, aiming to pass well ahead. Suddenly and for no apparent reason, Clipper put her engines ahead and aimed across our bow. Very doubtful at best that she would have crossed safely ahead of us: we had to alter course to pass round her stern. As sailing vessel we shouldn't have had to. Were you aboard? Would you take I-80 all the way or take I-70 ? If took I-70, I see on the map I could take US6 to I-15 to Salt Lake City? Or....travel all the way to the end of I-70 and go North on I-15, then take US 6 50 to I-80 ???? Please help. How are these State Road like ? busy with a lot of traffic lights? Safe road? or better to stay all the way on Interstate?
