Southwest has pretty good fares from Tulsa to LV.

This is the current promo code for the Luxor, they are good until 11/30/07

on line PC "LNON12"

Phone in reservations PC "LDNON12"

If you want to take an inexpensive trip to LV you have to avoid weekends, special events and large conventions.

The best time of the year to go for low room rates is after the NFR(National Finals Rodeo) up until the weekend before New Years. This year that would be December 9th until the 28th.

IMO these are "generally" the best value hotels

"Cheap" vacations in Vegas is a relative term, since the whole point of going there is to spend & spend & drink & gamble.
Airfare, hotel & car are your three biggest cost, everything after that is entertainment.
Avoid renting a car, stay on the strip & walk.
Circus Circus & the Imperial Palace are the 2 cheapest of the major resorts on the strip, right now, i would recommend the Imperial because of the location. Circus Circus is only a so-so place & is a bit removed from the rest of the strip, though the room prices make the place worth a look.
After that its your call, my advice is too put limits on the gambling & concentrate on the sights, shows & eats. Do stuff that you can't do in Tulsa.
Footnote: If you do stay at the Imperial Palace, DON'T take a
room above the outdoor stage unless you don't plan on going to bed until after the band has played the last set of the night.
Good Luck & Have a Good Trip.

The best place to check for prices is sidestep.com ... they check all the websites for the best prices on flights, hotels and cars. They check orbitz, cheaptickets, expedia , etc. They actually take you to that site to book your flight or room. I have used them many times and always got the best deal through them. Only they do not check Southwest Airlines so you would have to do that one yourself. Remember to check various dates for different prices. Stay away from Fridays and Saturdays. Also stay away from holiday weeks. Good luck and have fun.
