This year was kind of cool. Only a few 90's and no 100's. I remember back in the 70's it was common to be 100+ for a week or more.

I don't think it's been abnormally hot this year. And if it is, well, who knows? I believe there is global warming, but that doesn't affect short-term weather trends very much.
