I have a really urgent matter I have to take care of but I don't have a passport. I need it right away.

Does anyone know how I can get one?

I've been on the website and it said $70 for next working day passport for emergency and compassionate reasons.

How do they decide what is a compassionate reason?

Thanks so much!!

I am looking to book a holiday for myself and my husband in the first week in October, this is the only time we can go. We want somwhere hot and sunny with a nice hotel, preferably all inclusive. We are quite a young couple so we want somewhere with a bit of life and things to do as well as a nice beach however not somewhwere like Ibiza. We have thought about the Carrabian, but not sure if the weather is any good in October. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Compared to British prices, is it very costly to travel across Poland? For instance, later this year I plan to take a train from Krakow to Chopin's birthplace, 60 km from Warsaw. Does anyone know how such a fare would compare with British prices? Would we be talking the equivalent of a hundred pounds or more?

Any ideas are appreciated.

According to the information found on travel.state.gov, this is what I have found:

Children 16 and under traveling alone should carry a copy of their birth certificate, baptismal record or a hospital record of birth in the United States as well as the proof of passport application status from the Department of State (DOS) for departure from the United States as well as re-entry to the United States. Acceptable confirmation of a passport application may be found at the Department of State’s website at http://travel.state.gov/passport/get/status/status_2567.html.

Children older than 16 and traveling alone are required to have a government-issued photo ID in addition to the proof of passport application status.

I am 16, and will be traveling to Canada with the proof of passport by air, can I use a drivers licence instead of copy of birth certificate, even if I am in the 16 or under? Do they just mean a photocopy of the birth certifcate?

Thanks!

Thanks for any advice

I only could find the Prague Zoo online, it seems weird not to find a theme (amusement) park in a capital of a European country... So do you know any?

My husband and I have always wanted to go on a cruise to Alaska, but have always heard awful things about the big cruise ships. Has anyone taken one of the big ships to Alaska, and if so, what was your experience? Which cruise line did you take? Would you recommend it? We have 2 kids (ages 9 and 5) --- should we bring them along, or leave them with their grandparents? I would really appreciate any advice! Thanks!

This probably sounds silly to those of you who live there, but we are travelling to Oregon, (Cannon Beach) this summer. We will be there in the middle of AUGUST. Will it be hot/warm enough to swim in the ocean? Is this something we should plan to do or are the beaches just for outdoor fun, not swimming? All of the pictures I've seen, I don't see anyone past their ankles in the water.

I am planning on visiting Kerala for 5 days between dec 30th and Jan 04th. My spouse and I will be going there from Delhi and returning to Bangalore for our return flight to California.

Considering that we have just 5 days, what are best things you suggest that we see and do in Kerala? Will it be too crowded during that time of the year?

Thank you very much for your help!

My husband and I have a 6 month old son and don't want to raise him in Los Angeles, where we now live. My family is all here, however, so I don't want to move too far away. We just want to find someplace (preferably within a 6 hour drive) that is family friendly with some culture and good schools (my husband is an elementary school teacher). San Fransisco is too crowded and expensive. Any other ideas???
