I am planning on visiting Kerala for 5 days between dec 30th and Jan 04th. My spouse and I will be going there from Delhi and returning to Bangalore for our return flight to California.
Considering that we have just 5 days, what are best things you suggest that we see and do in Kerala? Will it be too crowded during that time of the year?

First go to Trivandrum
Visit Kovalam.
And the go to Silent valley.
This would take you five days.

Kerala is awesome. Yes it is a bit crowded and Noisy, but it is really cool, considering the fact that I was born there. Kovalam beach is a cool place to go see. You might also like the art and the traditional dances like kathakali, thullal etc. The temples are also very interesting, they hold a lot of historical value. If you are not into the culture part a lot, you might like veega land. It is an amusement park. Trust me you will like. It is a lot of fun. You should spend a day going for shopping, because Indian clothes are amazingly beautiful. You spouse might like them, I bet. Well there is a lot to tell about kerala. I am sure you will like it. Have a great trip.

Can you tell what you wish to see in Kerala?
Because Kerala has so much to see ranging from beaches, backwaters, forests, rivers, hill stations, landscapes, trekking paths, cultural heritage and so on.
5 days wont suffice to see a 10th of what we have.

I think for your five days you should go to the most well known and funnest amusement park there, VEEGALAND!!! It's like the Dorney park in America. You should also go site seeing, shopping, ( because the clothes are GREAT! A good store to go to is Allukas. Joy allukas.)having fun, fishing, going to church and many many MANYYYYY MORE!

5 days tour will be too short to cover all the important tourist attractions in Kerala. You have to,therefore, select the places you want to visit within 5 days and select the tour package accordingly.

you should go and see the backwaters of kerala. i suggest going on amusment parks ex: Veegaland.
