in general, humans need some authority, the only time u dont need authority, is if everyone is the same with their beliefs,

but everyone is not the same, therefore, authority is required to make the people fit into a certain profile that is accepted by everyone..
there are certain beliefs that are followed by most people, authoity sees to it, that these beliefs and rules are followed..

authority sees to it, that everyone will act in a manner acceptable to the majority of the people..

I agree with bigshwinger. There has to be authority in order toorganize the society.
Many sociologists spoke about authorities and I like Weber who simply made it 3 kinds.. traditional, legitimate, and charismatic.

Gosh!! I love sociology.

No we can't !
Because of our nature we need boundaries & authority to oversee those boundaries .
In a perfect world we would all live as one big happy family but alas , until that day when God takes ultimate authority , we will need to be accountable to those placed over us !

Sice the man exists on earth always has been some kind of associaton to make the society work.
In every places and among all the civilizations always existed some kind of leadership.
If that wouldnt happen that way........the chaos that nowadays exists in the world would have been worse. If not leadership.........it would become anarchy.
