what would you do if somebody you had no feelings for told you that he/she loved you?

happens.
told him "....no you dont, you dont even know me..."
he insisted that he did, so i asked him questions about myself and personality and he couldnt answer any of them.
yea...akward...
took him awhile, but he finally got over it.
EDIT: i always answer you first, i should get some kind of prize or something.

I would be careful in telling the person that i think she is very special but i dont have those special feelings for her. I would then tell her it is god that decides who we will eventually fall in love with so it isnt because i think there is nothing wrong with her.
You should always in love try to spare a person from as much pain and hurt as possible. So try not to be leb and be empathetic with them .

Be kind but firm about my feelings. If I thought the person was unreasonable or irrational I'd cut off contact right away. But if they were sincere I'd maybe try to be a friend.
There's very little love in the world today and ther's no sense in hurting somone for having feelings for you, if you have to cut and run be nice about it.

I lied....
I made up so many reasons that would prevent me in getting in that relation, trying in a very kind way not to say No directly.
like i am not ready for a relation, u r so kind and nice but at this stage i aint the one. or i am not into a serious relation right now, and i donot wana spoil ouur frienship by dating for a while then havng to break up. i dunno if this was right, but it is better than saying what a friend of mine heard from a woman.
they hanged out together for a year, and when he gathered his guts and told her i love, she answered " what did i do to make u feel that way?"
the look in his eyes when he told me made me get the chills in my body, so when it happened with me i made sure i wont shock the person as my friend was shocked and hurt.

I don't know what I'd say, I've never been through this... But if a guy came and told me so... I believe I'll be super embarrassed and probably wouldn't see or connect with him ever.. I'd be shocked :O!! LOL..
no seriously, noone wants to be in that position... it's sad for one and embarrassing for the other... it makes the person who have no feelings seem cruel and with no heart...

it happened to me in fact, and i told her that i love her too but as friend and i will keep near her if she like that, but i think she hate me after this, .......whatever, she is married now , and i still single :))
But its hard really to say that, or it will be harder to hear that :)
