I was just on an airplane from Amman, Jordan to Baghdad, Iraq. Every other person had their cell phone on for the entire flight. Granted they were not talking on the phone, but the phone was on and they were using various functions. The flight attendants were not alarmed and did not take any action like they would have on a U.S. flight.

Here in the U.S, it seems like everyone in my school are against the country and people of France. Even my own friends. I am the only confused one who isn't against them. Why are Americans so against the French. Maybe not even just the Americans....

Where decent answers get violation notices (I've got one today... again), decent people like Edoardo get suspended?

Any suggestions as to where we can meet and discuss? Because, I'm seriously thinking about using another account for my e-mails.

We are landing in Amsterdam and would like to go to Paris, Geneva, Florence and maybe Venice and Rome and then fly back to Amsterdam to depart Europe. We have 2 weeks after we land. Any suggestions or recommendations? We don't know if it would be better to drive or get a Eurail pass. We hear conflicting reports. We would love to relax and drive but not sure how easy it would be with road signs marking the way. Also, is the Eurail pass cheaper to buy now for a September trip? We just want to plan ahead...

My Fiancee (soon to be my wife) and I will drive Across the US starting July 16th from New York City for one month. We are renting a car from Hertz for the whole trip.

What suggestions can you make (things to do, see, OR even things to AVOID, places to stay... ANYTHING) that could really make the difference between our honeymoon being a money-pit / nightmare or the most special time of our lives.

Details so far are: Possibly stop in Chicago for a day to visit frineds. Arrive in San Fransisco on July 20th for a long weekend with a friend, a few days in Las Vegas with a relative, several days in New Mexico with a good friend, have to drop the car off in New York City on Aug. 16th. That's it, the rest is totally up in the air. Maybe your suggestion(s) will make this something really special for us or at least help us to avoid any costly mistakes. Thanks for any suggestions you may have... anything will be helpful. This is the only honeymoon I plan to have!

Thanks! - Kevin
