The French Alps are in Haute Savoie. In the 90s, the Winter Olympics were held in Grenoble, a village in Haute Savoie. The most famous mountain is Mont Blanc. It's over 10,000 feet high. Most of the French go skiing in February. They call skiing Le sport de hiver, or "faire de ski."
