I'm researching where to live near The Uni of Sydney. Interested in an area that is nice, close to public transportation, shops/bars/clubs/coffee shops/etc... and where young professionals tend to live. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have seen small houses that cost 750k-850k! How do people afford this? Are there any regular working stiffs in this city?

We are flying in 1 week to Cabo, Mexico from ERW with our 12 mo old son. We applied for his passport 12 weeks ago and are very stressed about not having it yet (we have called, emailed, and spoken to our DE congressman).
I did see today that they have lifted the restrictions, and you can use a state issued ID (I went today and got his ID done) AND also a US Dept Of State receipt stating that you have applied for a passport.
What receipt is this? I have the receipt from the post office where we applied. I called my post office, but they don't even know yet that the restrictions have been lifted.
Any ideas? Suggestions? I really don't want to be delayed, or miss this trip!

Next August, 2008, my husband and I have a meeting in Canada, and are planning to take our children, the oldest of whom will be 11. We are all US (Michigan) citizens. Will we all need passports, how much does a passport cost, and how long is it valid? Is this done through the Secretary of State's office?

Looking back about three weeks ago, I remember the Turkish section being only half a page in length. Today, it has grown to about 4 pages. I thought that maybe it's because it's almost summer and many people are going to Turkey for vacation. Yet, I realized that cannot be true because most of the questions are political. Anybody else notice this new occurence?

I am going on a weeklong trip to Nashville. I haven't traveled on my own since I became an "adult," my mom always checked my bag to make sure I had everything I needed. What's a resonable amount of stuff to pack? I always take/buy bottles of shampoo & conditioner because the hotels never give you enough. Any suggestions?

When I was a little girl (about 15 years ago) my class went on a field trip to a museum in Chicago. There was this huge horse/pony that was made of clear plastic and it was filled with recycled plastic toys and such. I thought it was the Museum of Science and Industry but I was just there and did not see it. They have some other recycling stuff, but not what I'm looking for. Anyone know what I'm talking about?
