Going to vegas with my girlfriend. I have been there before with the guys and have stayed at the hardrock and the palms. She wants to stay either at the luxor or the treasure island. Any recommendations/comparisons???

I have gotten mixed reviews about the ship/ its service and the food served. It sails through the islands of Hawaii....Does anyone have other websites or personal experiences they can share? I have checked Travelocity & other major online travel booking sites, Lonely Planet, Cruises.com etc.

List your cruise experience here and whether you like it on not.

Me I was on one this winter March 12-17. Carnival Inspiration. Had a single room. Visited Kayman Island and Kozumel. It was fun even though half of the ship was filled with Spring Breakers. Cost was decent, food great, weather great. Would do it again. My advice: bring sea sick pills because you can still feel movement.

Hotel rates are two or three times higher on Friday and Saturday. I am assuming the reasoning is the laws of supply and demand, but I am wondering if there is some other reason Vegas is more expensive on the weekend, such as better shows or more entertainment. In other words, if I go from say Sunday - Thursday, am I missing out on a good part of the Vegas experience, or is it the same everyday?

I'm going to be traveling to San Fransisco for five days and I am trying to get an idea of how much food will cost and how much money I should bring. I do not want to eat fast food so what Are the chances of avoiding that if I don't wish to spend allot of money?

We have about $6,000 and are going to spend around 10 days. We are looking for a quiet place with a beach. Seems like every place we want to go this time of year is either in their rainy season or could be hit by a hurricane. Right now we are thinking Curacao, though I heard you can't leave the resort. Because I'm really, really, really thinking I'd like to go. I've been to France and Jamaica, but never China, and am not exactly a seasoned world traveler. However, I love pandas, and this looks like volunteering in panda heaven.

Is Vancouver B.C. racist? I'm from the States, I was visiting Vancouver last summer and I was having such a good time until I was talking to one of the locals on Stanley Island in Downtown Vancouver. The man was white about 30 years old, he said I could visit and spend my money but for Gods sake I shouldn't even think about staying because Canada was already getting over-run by too many asians as it is. :-( I am Filipino and he still called me a "Chink" as if I were Chinese but I'm not.

Do you Canadians agree with him? Do you support what he said to me? Was it OK for him to do? I told him he was being a jerk and he said I should **** off and to stop breeding more yellow babies.

All in all, is Vancouver B.C. a racist City or what? If it's racist, why is it so racist? How did it get to be so racist?

I was so ashamed and embarrased when this happened and some bystanders were starring at me.

Hi i am 19 i am leaving for africa soon and will be staying for 9 weeks volunteering and 2 weeks travel on my own/with other volunteers. can anyone give me any general advice on traveling while i am there. i will be in tanzania. or advice on stuff to take with me. thanks!
