In the bronze age they had bronze weapons, often decoraated with gold (you can see some beautiful finds from Mycenae in the National Archaeological museum in Athens).
In archaic and classical years I suppose their weapons were made of iron, often decorated with iron decorations. I don't know if they were decorating with gold etc. Also, I doubt the shields were all made of iron, because they would be too heavy to carry. But I don't know for sure, sorry

The ancient Greeks span from from the Stone Age to the Iron Age. and then all the way to modern Greeks. During the Bronze Age the Greeks had weapons and all sorts of utensils made of bronze silver and gold. The silver mines were located in Lavrio about 60 Km south of Athens. Just take a look at the artifacts and weapons of the Mycenaeans and the Minoans. The Trojan war(around 1100 BCE) was fought with bronze weaponry. The age comes to an end at around 1000 BCE when the Iron Age sets in with the Dorian Greeks

The period from about 3000 to 1200 BCE is known as the Greek Bronze Age because bronze, a mixture of copper and tin, was the most commonly used metal.
