Travel - 14 May 2007

I have 8 days at spare and a mid sized sedan and i have to see Great Ocean Drive and Alice Springs. Can someone please plan me a trip..!!! The journey is more important than the destination since this is going to be my first and last road trip in this country. I do plan to see things on the way. So can someone please guide me taking into considerations all the above mentioned limitations.

I live in Central Jersey. I don't have a car. I can reach either New York City or Philadelphia fairly easily. From either of those cities, what's the best way to reach Ocean City, Maryland? (NOT Ocean City, New Jersey. That's actually fairly easy for me.) I know Amtrak doesn't go there, and flying, even if possible, might actually take longer. Is the best way by Greyhound, or is there another bus company? Or is there another way?

We don't really know what we want to do. We would like to take our dogs, 20 and 40 lbs. We definatly don't want to travel to the western US, we are in Cincinnati and are looking to drive about 12 hours or less.

okay i grew up in a warm state and moved to a COLD state. I hate it. So I want to move.

Well first I thought Florida but then I found out they have the worst schools in the nation. Then someone said pretty much all schools in the southern states suck and if you move down there to put your kid in a private shcool.

Okay so then I thought screw it California is expensive but ill move north cal. Oh, then someone on City-data says California schools have always been "troubled" even the private ones!

So I feel stuck in this state up north where its winter 9mos out of the year!! Any suggestions???

Our school plans a big event this coming summer and it has to have a South African flair! This is what the "big guys" planned. Do you have any ideas on what I can present? Anything from music to outfits would be of great help. Any ideas, in fact. I have two days to do the South African theme and the Canadian teacher has two days to do his country's theme. I just got the thing and even though I was asked time and again to download the thingy, I never did. Now I got so many people involved and they can call me on my landline and cellphone for only 20 cents a minute! That's from South Africa to Korea! For me it's much more expensive, but I did get a hold of my buddy, Diezel, and it seems to work like a charm!
