Depends on where you are planning on working. The 405 corridor is probably one of the worst stretches of traffic on a daily basis. It is what is called the S curve area and it doesn't matter what time of day or which direction you will hit traffic somewhere along it. Avoid the 405 area if you can like the plague. Plus there is a animal rendering plant right near the University of Phoenix campus that makes most of Renton and Tukwila smell horrible. There are better areas to live.

The higher your elevation the better the neighborhoods and schools in renton. Just as a rule of thumb. But, Renton is close to everything, so not a bad community.

Been here nearly my whole life. Choose the neighborhood carefully. The difference in quality can differ within just a few blocks. Much of downtown Renton has been turning ghetto lately. There are some good places in the Highlands and Fairwood areas.
There is a wide range of churches, from the bible-beating conservative to the rainbow liberal. Plenty to choose from in that area.
I don't know what else to include, since you didn't specify what you wanted to know about the city.

Friends don't let friends move to Renton. Go north on 405 ten miles and find a place in Kirkland.

Avoid Renton.
Try Normandy Park.
