I just got the thing and even though I was asked time and again to download the thingy, I never did. Now I got so many people involved and they can call me on my landline and cellphone for only 20 cents a minute! That's from South Africa to Korea! For me it's much more expensive, but I did get a hold of my buddy, Diezel, and it seems to work like a charm!

I used skype for a while , but then all of a sudden they wouldn't let my buy more credit so i switched over to YahooMessenger and infact have discovered YahooMessenger has cheaper rates anyway!!They have all the same features as skype!!
I call my family in SA from U.S all the time and find that $10 can easily last me two months!!I love it !!

I have not used skype but I use yahoo instant messenger with voice. My wife who is south african calls her mother, sister, and grandmother daily from the US to South Africa, to my mother-in-laws computer for free, and to a land line and or cell phone in south africa for something like 2cents a minute... or something to the sort. $20 goes a long way.
I have also used it to call up my grandmother in South Korea as well. I highly recommend Yahoo Instant messenger... The sound quality is great as well. I even think at times its better than using a land line. I got rid of my long distance phone service a long time ago.

I know it's brilliant.

Apparently you can get one on your cell phone too.
